Our Story

In the winter of January 2018, three families came together to pray and discern the next step in their calling to serve the Lord. They were also responding to the desire of several young adults to begin a new congregation. The founding families were Enrique and Micaela Favela, Javier and Isabel Ramírez, and Manuel and Johanna Tovar.

After a time of prayer and fellowship, the decision was made to start the church with one clear condition: a total and humble commitment to God from everyone involved. After meeting in homes and planning the first service, important questions arose: there was no name, no pastor, and no building! However, during a meeting at the Fénix Restaurant, through prayer and voting, the name The Promise Church was born.

Shortly thereafter, God opened the doors to a location on Regal Rd. in Dallas, where we held our first service, led by young adults in preaching and worship.

God continued to guide the church by sending pastors who affirmed and discipled the congregation: Dr. Gabriel Cortés, followed by Pastor Sergio Ramos, joined by Pastor Gabriel Flores as associate pastor. As a church, we faced the pandemic trusting in the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

God later provided new places for us to gather, including Royal Haven Church and later First Baptist Church of Farmers Branch, marking new chapters in our history.

In His faithful care, God called two new servants to pastor the church: Senior Pastor David Miranda and family, and Associate Pastor Abraham Quiñones and family. Our brother Jeremy Pérez and his family also joined the group of church elders.

Today, we thank God for new families, baptisms, decisions of faith, Sunday School, life groups, and the food distribution ministry serving our community. We continue moving forward trusting in the promises of our Heavenly Father, serving Christ to impact our community and fulfill the vision and mission of the church.
